Issue 20 // JAM

Hi ,
Reminder to say Parshas Haman (בשלח טז:ד-לו) today. The words provide a powerful reminder and chizzuk for our bitachon and Reb Menachem Mendel of Rimanov said that specifically today (the Tuesday of Parshas Beshalach) say it is a segulah for parnassah.
Also, congrats to reader S on winning the תפילת אישה על בעלה plaque for referring readers to JAM. 🎉 And thanks to all who participated!
JUST A NOTE FOR: Nursing moms
Raizy’s S.O.S. to saving your nursing in any crisis that arises!
#1 - Feed your baby! A hungry baby is really hard to convince of anything! If your nursing is not working, you can feed your baby pumped milk in a bottle, or formula. Feeding the baby is number one to reduce everyone's stress and keep baby calm.
#2 - Maintain milk supply! That means making sure you remove milk from your breast every 2/3 hours. If baby is not capable, use your pump!
#3 - Reach out for help from a qualified lactation professional that understands yours and your baby's needs.

JUST THINGS FOR YOU
✂️REC: Declutter your magazines and entertain the kids! (Think of it as pre-Pesach cleaning to make the job easier.) Here are some fun ways to use magazines as activities for all ages:
Build gift boxes. Sketch a gift box (or download this one) and have them fill the box with gifts they think a selected person (Bubby, Mommy, a sibling) would appreciate.
Go shopping. Sketch a shopping cart (or download this one) and have them “go shopping” by cut-and-pasting pictures of what they want to buy
Up the level by having them shop for something specific (Shabbos, a birthday party) or giving them a shopping list: something red, something healthy, something that grows, something for a party
Tell a story. Have them create a story using pictures they find, or narrate a fill-in-the-blank story, like “You went to the ___ and saw your friend. He was holding ___, and you played with ___. Then you ate ___ and went to ___.” and having them find and paste a picture for each blank.
For older age groups:
Write a message. Snip words from the magazine to build a message. Kids can write letters to each other, to friends, or to their grandparents.
Find the answer. Distribute a magazine to each person. Ask a question, and give a page number. (For example: What’s a phrase that describes our family? Page 48) Each person has to find and snip a phrase from the given page in their magazine that answers the question. Have fun sharing the answers with the group!
⛓️HACK: Prevent magazine buildup — and do someone else a favor, too — by finding someone to take your weekly subscriptions every week. Don’t forget to clip and file recipes you want to try and inspirational articles you want to reread before passing them along!
🫧TIP: Rally the troops. Baby wipes are fantastic, effective all-purpose cleaners. Hand out wipes to your littles and have a “who can clean more spots off the floor/moldings" contest. My kids love this! It’s fun for everyone — especially Mommy!
JUST FOR LAUGHS

That’s all for today!
See you next Tuesday!💜☕
