Hi ,

This week, I interrupted my husband mid-sentence to yell “look, look!” a tractor driving past… because my brain has been programmed to work like my 4-year-old’s. It felt like a real rite of passage in motherhood.

For DIY-ing cream cheese at home, JAM readers use (in addition to stockings and cheese cloth):

  • diaper cloth

  • clean towel

  • clean undershirt

And one reader shared her (slightly different) recipe: 1/4 tsp of salt per shamenet container (or ½ teaspoon per 14 oz of sour cream).

JUST DESSERTS

I’m on a mission to elevate our shalosh seudos, the highest moments of Shabbos – our yichud room with Hashem – our “dessert.”

This week we went for super easy (and pretty! That matters.):

Yogurt bowls:

Yogurt topped with stripes of

  • Granola

  • Cut fruit

  • Berries

  • Chocolate chips

  • Chia seeds

… the options are endless!

🧀REC: The Shavuos challah even your 2-year-old can make.

Roll 6 even balls of dough. Flatten 5 of them around the 6th in the center. Egg, and place seeds, or your topping of choice, on the center (or on as many “petals” as your toddler chooses).

Can you guess which was made by the 4 year old, which by the 2.5, and which by mom? 😆
