Comfort coming 🌟, travel tips, and living on the edge

Issue 41 // JAM

Hi ,

Nachamu. I don't really get it either, but somehow tisha b'av comes to an end... even while we're in galus.

And then, Hashem comes to whisper comfort to us… even in this darkness.

Raw searing pain, and comfort, comfort, comfort all at once — and never-ending tefilos for Mashiach, please, finally.

JUST A REMINDER

Start thinking about Elul. We’re coming off of tisha b’av into what’s next — how we’re going to be better, do better, grow closer.

My guess is that you’ve got time limitations and distractions. 😏 So as you fold the next load of laundry take a minute to think about the injections you can add to the coming days to elevate them and get to where you want to be come Rosh Hashanah. (It’s just 7 weeks away.)

JAM PARTNER

Pay just $8/month for unlimited talk+text and $15/month for unlimited talk, text, and data*, when you pay annually.

Plus, get a $25 gift card after 6 months with US Mobile. Try it free now

*I have this plan. I’m thrilled.

JUST FOR YOU

🍼REC: Traveling with a baby? Wash bottles on the go. Drizzle dish soap all over a sponge, cut it into small pieces and toss in a Ziploc. When baby finishes a bottle, add a piece of sponge and water, and shake vigorously. If the bottle needs a scrub, your fingers will fit with a sponge so small.

🤤 RECIPE: Healthier homemade ice cream bars. Tried, tested, and totally crave-worthy.

Ice cream

1 can (13.5 oz) full fat canned coconut milk

½ cup peanut butter

½ cup raw honey or pure maple syrup

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

¼ tsp salt

Chocolate shell

10 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate

2 Tbsp coconut oil

Blend ice cream ingredients until smooth and creamy. Pour into a parchment paper lined loaf pan and freeze for 8+ hours. Then, melt the chocolate shell ingredients together on the stovetop using the double-boiler method. Remove the ice cream from the freezer and slice into squares. (Brace for messy — but — mouthwatering results.) Coat each square in chocolate, place on a parchment lined cookie sheet, and freeze until hardened.

TIP: Keep half the squares in the freezer while you coat the other half to prevent melting.

🚘PRODUCTS: Car-friendly entertainment. Spending a lot of time in the car? Shop car-friendly games for (a little less) backseat boredom.
