Play these games, make your jewelry sparkle, and extend bathtime
Issue 57 // JAM

Hi!
Whewwww! I hope you had a gorgeous, fun Chanuka and are settling back into routine. (2.5 months til Purim! It’s the perfect time of year to organize the closets or try something new.)
But first, take just a minute, just for you 😊
JUST A Q
One readers asks: Any tips for bedwetting for big boys (over six)?
Readers Respond: 2-player game recommendations
We love the game Splendor
Me and my husband love learning new games together, and find that learning mastering them is extremely bonding. Some we like: Galaxy Truckers, Everdale, Brass Birmingham (a bit more complicated).
Forbidden Island (players work together, not against each other)
We love Phase 10!
From last email:
Word Around (a fast-paced game)
Fiction (a spin-off of Wordle that takes a ton more strategy, requires writing)

JUST FOR YOU
💍REC: Wash your jewelry. Every time I do, I’m surprised all over again by how much the fresh sparkle adds. It’s simple (and you have everything you need at home).
Swirl a pump of dish soap in a bowl of warm water. Soak your jewelry for a few minutes. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush (I keep one in my kitchen exclusively for this, to make this easy!) to clean in the cracks and crevices and remove dirt. Rinse the jewelry in warm water (I use a sieve because I’m scared of pieces slipping down the drain), pat dry, and revel in the shine! ✨✨✨
🛁HACK: Give bath time a glowup. Turning bath time into an extended activity might be my best mom hack, especially on long winter afternoons.
Check your toy bin — you might have water-safe toys you can bring to the bath to mix things up. Also, bathing suits can turn bath time into a swim time.
Or, try one of these:
Glow bath: Dim the lights and toss in glow sticks or light up ice cubes for a lit up bath.
Color bath: Squeeze in some food coloring, or use bath crayons, finger paint, or color fizzies, or have the kids make their own bath bombs.
🌿TIP: Take advantage of the post-Chanuka routine to invest in what matters most. Join the Transformative Parenting Series – starting next week via Zoom!
