A month of suppers... in a morning (and more)
Issue 62 // JAM

Whether you’ve been tunneling your way through mounds of snow, or are somewhere warm and sunny… hi!
So far for Purim we’ve settled on being Where’s Waldo, then the circus, and now — policemen. HBU?
JUST A Q
Reader M wants to know: How to clean walls without streaks? When I use magic eraser it leaves ugly streaks.
Readers Recommend
Clipping little binder clips to the top of puzzles and using cute pushpins to hang them on the wall.
SUPPER SUGGESTION
Easy chummus basar from Reader S
It’s the supper that “My kids all eat it bH!”
Cook chopped meat with salt, pepper, garlic powder, a lot of paprika, and some cumin. Serve with chummus and plain Doritos.
(Based on a recipe from the BY cookbook #2.)
JUST TRY IT
What if you could cross “cook supper” off your to-do list… for a month?!
I’ve done it and I’m sharing how.
Like everything, this works at specific stages and seasons in life, and for some people. Take it, leave it, or adapt it!

JUST LOVING: Reader’s favorite Amazon finds
JAM reader feedback: “Amazing non messy, totally independent (from about age 4-5+) fun arts-and-crafts that keeps my kids busy for about an hour at a time! I love that it comes in boys and girls varieties”
(And a previously recommended JAM favorite as well!)

JUST FOR YOU
⛄REC: Bring the snow inside. They say another storm is heading towards the East Coast! We had an amazing time bringing the snow inside in a shallow storage bin (or, use 9×13s or your water table). We added cups of water with food coloring as paint, toy animals, plastic spoons, and measuring cups. You can also add beach toys, spray bottles with colored water, and so much more for an indoor winter wonderland minus the red, runny noses.
🧳TIP: Travelling? Pack smart. Three ways to pack kids clothing to make it easy to get dressed each day:
Pack each day’s outfit (including underwear, socks, accessories) in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag.
Pack in an over-the-door organizer (these have bigger pockets than the standard shoe organizer) so you can pull it out, hang it up, and easily access everything.
Pack in packing cubes — one for underwear/socks, one for tops, one for bottoms — to keep things neat and contained.
🚿HACK: Clean your shower, easy. Keep a scrubber brush or spray bottle with water, vinegar, and dish soap in your shower. Spray/wipe down after your showers and you won’t have to clean your shower as a separate task.

PS. I’d really like to intro you to Chayelle Rose — someone I’m grateful and honored to know — because everyone could use some Chayelle in their life. She has the best energy, believes in you more than you believe in yourself, and somehow… makes everything fun and easy.
Her flagship program each winter, Present Parenting, is a fully live immersive experience where she shows people how being present in life is really what finds us solutions to basically, well… everything. (And I highly recommend getting in on it.)
During the summer months she creates mini programs that people absolutely love that are shorter and more focused. I’m anxiously waiting for her upcoming program, Idea to Action, but the good news is… we can now get a tiny taste!
You know those ideas that float around your head?
The side business you keep meaning to start.
The living room mural you’ve been saying you’ll paint.
The project, habit, or change that keeps nudging you… but never quite happens.
Chayelle created a free guide that you can have right now to get you started: Turn your ideas to action.
This short PDF exists because ideas aren’t the problem. You don’t lack creativity. You don’t lack motivation. And you’re definitely not “lazy.” What’s missing is a clear, simple bridge between thinking and doing.
It’s a practical guide to help you move — even when you don’t feel 100% ready. (Spoiler alert: You never will...)
If you’ve been waiting to feel ready — this guide is for you.
Because ideas are definitely nice.
But taking action is what will bring change into the world.
