😋REC: Make a better-for-you snack. Hazelnut Cocoa Bites by Liatt from True Mothering. (See an image version in the PS)
Place 1 cup hazelnuts on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Toast in an oven preheated to 375°F for 8-10 minutes.
Remove, and rub with a kitchen towel to remove the skins. Chop well in a blender or food processer. Set aside a small handful of chopped nuts.
Add 2 Tbsp cocoa powder, 2 Tbsp maple syrup, and ¼ tsp sea salt to the chopped hazelnuts and process until it forms a dough.
Remove the dough, and roll into golf ball-sized balls with slightly damp hands. Roll each ball in the reserved hazelnuts. Place in a sealed container in the fridge to harden slightly (about 20 mins).
Enjoy!
🥖REC: Finally… make sourdough! It’s been on my bucket list for ages, and now thanks to Leba Friedman, I might actually get to it! Leba’s course helps people realize that sourdough really IS easy – even if you don’t like baking. (And, the cost of the course is like one loaf of sourdough 😅). If you want to learn how to make sourdough, get tips and trips, and understand how to troubleshoot get her course (or gift it to a loved one!)
