Coughing?
Issue 9 // JAM

Hi ,
I hope not by you, but around here we’ve officially welcomed the seasons of sniffles and coughs. (A two-year-old whose completely lost her voice is equally sad and adorable🥹.)
See below for some recs to keep on hand this winter and may it be a healthy one for your and your family!
JUST A THOUGHT
Shopping for kids clothing? (Lots of stores have current season styles on sale, BTW!)
Here are some ways you might consider curbing your spending:
Just spend less.
👗 Readers shared where they score more affordable clothing:
Kidichic
Tottini
AliExpress, Shein, and Temu, specifically the Ali Picks/Ali Specials collections
👚 Some tips:
Shop end of season sales
Shop practically (buy clothes that will last the season — dark colors and a bit bigger sizes)
Quantity over quality.
One reader shared: “I do like to have at least 8-9 outfits for each kid so that I don't have to do laundry every week on the same day. It makes my laundry schedule more flexible which works better for me. I buy cheaper items since I'm buying a lot, but I don't mind if some of the clothing only lasts one season - even good quality stuff gets stained and torn by my kids and this way I don't have to stress.”
Time and energy are worth saving, too.
One reader shared that: “Time is worth money. Energy is worth money. End of season sales are a gamble when you have to guess next season's sizes and let's face it, the designer boutiques have some really adorable things!” Be savvy about where to spend and where to splurge.
How do you shop? We’d love to hear.
JUST THINGS FOR YOU
💍REC: Clean your jewelry. It’s so easy — and the massive upgrade in sparkle is happiness-inducing. Soak your jewelry in a bowl of warm water with a squirt of dish soap, then gently clean with a soft-bristled toothbrush (label and set aside for future cleanings!). Rinse and enjoy ✨
🤒PRODUCTS: For those sick days… The things you hope to not need — and will be so grateful to have on hand if you do.

🥖HACK: Serve fresh challah every week.
Freeze your raw braided challah for fresh, hot challahs every week — and the magical lingering scent of challah baking as you bring in Shabbos. I defrost them on the counter all Friday so they defrost + rise, and then bake with just enough time to pull them out of the oven before I light.
MOTHERHOOD MUSING
It is not words, but living examples which educate.
JUST FOR LAUGHS

Ummm… and feeding, bathing, laundering, nose-wiping, listening, chauffeuring, cooking, serving, reassuring…
See you next Tuesday!
That’s all for today!💜☕
