  • Quinoa salad 

  • 1 bag purple cabbage + 1 jar banana peppers + 1 beefsteak tomato, dressed with olive oil, salt and pepper. (The cabbage absorbs some of the heat of the hot peppers)

  • Pasta salad

  • Sushi salad (with salmon or kani)

  • Tune + egg salad with veggies

  • Diced salad with fresh mozzarella

SWEETS

  • Ice cream cones/bars

  • Apple kugel

  • Cheesecake 

  • Easy DIY ice cream sandwiches (make them on the spot by placing a scoop of ice cream between two lotus cookies)

SATISFYING DISHES

  • Potato bourekas

  • Scrambled eggs made on Friday

  • Broccoli quiche (make a broccoli kugel recipe, place in pie shell and top with cheese)

  • Salmon

  • Melon, grapefruit, platters, or a special “shabbos fruit”

  • Salsa & chips with guacamole, sour cream, etc. 

  • Cereal and milk
