Issue 13 // JAM

Hi !

So…

How many donuts have you had so far? 🍩

JUST A THOUGHT

Someone asked me about my most heartwarming Chanukah memory, but my first thought wasn’t a specific memory, but a feeling: coziness, connection, contentment.

To me, the menorah — dancing fire against a cold, black sky — symbolizes the meaning, the depth, and the feeling of Chanukah that returns every year.

And I started to think about how I’m going to cultivate that feeling for myself and my family this year… because I know the intention + planning makes it more likely to happen.

If you want to plan with me, I hope the Chankua Spirit post below helps!

JUST IN TIME

We’re cranking up the Chanuka spirit!

For the moms – sneak a few minutes to listen to a shiur and to daven. It will change your Chanuka.

When it comes to sharing it with your family, check out some ideas here and hit reply to share with us: 👉how do you bring the Chanuka spirit into your home?

[In the Chanuka Spirit Guide]

And, as you’re planning your parties and shopping for gifts, here are some ways to make twists to make your gifting more fun (or affordable).

JAM PARTNER

Gain the perspective you want to give over. Get clarity and answers to her questions (and yours) all through a Torah lens.

JUST THINGS FOR YOU

🍫 HACK: Make quick and easy hot cocoa bombs. Spray whipped cream into cupcake tins, top with marshmallows, sprinkles and/or chocolate chips, and freeze. Dunk them into hot cocoas for a Chanuka-worthy upgrade to an already delicious drink.

🎁 REC: For writers and aspiring writers – Gift yourself a popcorn party… and discover your story. If you love writing, join the Chanuka popcorn party with Rochel Samet and Rivka Streicher (of Mishpacha magazine). You’ll learn two techniques to brainstorm your kernel if you don’t have one yet – and several tools to get it popping into a fully developed story. 🍿 See you there?

MOTHERHOOD MUSING

All the good and blessing in this world is drawn into the home where the woman cultivates achdus and unity.

אהל רחל

Those deep breaths, those smiles, those patient moments of connection… they mean the world, literally.

JUST FOR LAUGHS

Idk why this is in “laughs”... it’s not funny, it’s just true!

See you next Tuesday!

That’s all for today!💜
