Chanuka games! permanent marker removal, and better schnitzel
Issue 54 // JAM

Hi!
It was so fun reading all the emails from you this week, keep them coming! š
Quick q: letās say there was another JAM Drop summit in the works. Who would you want to hear from? Please lmk!
Also, my perfect tea essence pitcher arrived, thanks to the reader who recommended it!

ā ļøGlass can crack if it gets too hot, so add some cold water first (if your urn is super hot). Also, you can purchase this locally in Lakewood (Center of Town) and Boro Park (The Peppermill) ā they brought it in due to our readerās rec.
Readers Respond: About childrenās dandruff care
Before the bath, rub in sweet almond oil, wait a few minutes and then scrub clean.
Use Head & Shoulders dandruff shampoo. (We find it works better than the expensive stuff in pharmacies)
Wet the hair. Gently rub about ¼ to ½ cup baking soda into the scalp. (Amount depends on how thick the child's hair is.) Let it sit for a maximum of five minutes and wash off, followed by your regular shampoo and conditioner. Try it! It works!!
JUST IN TIME
You alll wanted Chanuka game recommendations!
Hereās are some you should definitely try (including a reprint of the menorah/drink game I shared last year).
I love ramping up the Chanuka spirit ā and keep it going for all eight days. So just a reminder that if youāre looking for a fun supper-side activity, basics work too:
Pin the candle on the menorah
Dreidel! Really, donāt skip this one!
Distribute Dollar Tree prizes that each person has to gift to a partner, with a creative tie-in
Play a homemade custom game of Taboo or Headbanz
Build your own donut (or latke) bar
What are your familyās Chanuka favorites? Reply and Iāll share them next week š©
JUST FOR YOU
šļøHACK: Use rubbing alcohol to remove permanent marker. This week, I used rubbing alcohol on permanent marker. It lifted it so easily, the toddler perpetrator was able to clean up wipe up the mess all by herself. (Definitely try it on other surfaces; our little artist colored on laminate flooring.)
š TIP: Bake better schnitzel. Delicious, crispy schnitzel without standing over the stove? Here are two ways to get that crunch:
Bake your schnitzel on a cooling rack placed on a cookie sheet. You avoid soggy schnitzel by preventing them from sitting in the oil.
Bread your schnitzel and then freeze it raw. When ready to bake, bake them par-frozen so that the crumbs start to crisp before the chicken starts to bake.
Enjoy!
