The best bibs, filling pancakes, and the measure of a good parent

Issue 63 // JAM

Hi!

Tu Bshvat this week was a beautiful reminder that the things you want, are working towards, are davening for… can be gestating for a while before they blossom. 🌱💐

How especially true in parenting — where every moment is an act of planting or nourishing a seed that may not show direct results for a longgg time. 💕

Also, we love when you share how you’ve used our ideas!

Reader M turned this template into a morning routine chart. She used these velcros.

SUPPER SUGGESTION

Baked Tuna Patties from Reader C

Mix 3 cans tuna, 3 eggs, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, and spices. Form into patties and top with everything spice. Spray baking sheet and both sides of patties with oil. Bake on 400 for 10-15 minutes on each side.

Serve with couscous, soup, and salad.

JUST LOVING: Reader’s favorite Amazon finds

JAM reader feedback: “Love these bibs. I bought a pack of 6 and put it straight in the laundry after my kids eat.”

Hiring is one of those things that sounds simple — until you actually do it.

Michal Eisik, a seasoned entrepreneur who’s built a thriving agency with a team of 5, is breaking down the 3 mistakes that make hiring backfire — and the framework that fixes it — in a FREE 60-minute webinar on Tuesday February 10, 2-3 pm ET.

Having known Michal personally for years, I can say without a doubt — she’s someone you want to learn from, and this webinar will be packed with value.

You'll learn what to delegate, who to hire, and how to set them up so they actually lighten your load instead of adding to it.

If you're maxed out but scared to hire, or if you've hired and regretted it, this training will give you a process that works.

JUST FOR YOU

👧HACK: Melt ponies away. If you use elastic ponies on your littles — and share our nightly pull-yelp-pull routine — try this: dip a q-tip in nail polish remover, touch it to the pony holder, and it dissolves open… like magic. Maybe one of the coolest and most effective hacks I actually use. (I didn’t for a while, because I wanted to be managing too well for hacks from random videos… just me? 🙈 I regret it now.)

🥞REC: Make delicious cottage cheese pancakes. For a cozy, filling breakfast, or breakfast-for-supper, we really enjoy these!

Combine:

2 cups cottage cheese

4 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 tbsp maple syrup

1 ¼ tbsp baking powder

1 ¼ cups flour (we use white whole wheat)

¼ cup avocado oil

Fry in a hot pan on medium heat until golden brown (usually about 3 min/side). Or, make them in the Betty Crocker (our go-to for easier, oil-free frying!)

Add your choice of toppings, and enjoy!

💻REC: Start attracting clients in a way that feels good and actually works. If you’re a solopreneur or small business owner who’s great at what you do but feels overwhelmed or frustrated when it comes to marketing, this free masterclass is for you. MAGNETIC BY DESIGN is a live, free masterclass where business mentor and strategist Rachel Lubchansky teaches a simpler, more grounded approach to client attraction that works for you.

You’ll learn:

  • Why client attraction feels hard for so many women (and the shift that changes everything)

  • How clarity makes your messaging and visibility magnetic

  • How to get visible in a way that fits your strengths, energy, and real life

  • What actually creates momentum and consistent clients over time
