The real Pesach cleaning, sunscreen magic, and a roundup of tips

Issue 67 // JAM

Hi!

It was so great to hear from those of you who loved - and used - the Purim food tips! Prepping a mishloach manos breakfast for your kids was a favorite by far.

There’s something in the air — the scent of spring and Windex… and I love it 🙂

(Mommies in Israel, I know that you have sirens in the air… and you might have nothing more than sticky treats, Magnatile towers, and arts n crafts. Sending hugs and strength!)

JUST A THOUGHT

(This was a powerful reminder to me, so I’m resharing from last year.)

Pesach cleaning is, at its core, less about the kitchen counters and more about theשאור שבעיסה… and your soul.

It’s just so easy for that to get lost in the whirr of the vacuum cleaner and the bleach fumes…

So, now. Take a moment. Pause.

Close your eyes.

Choose one thing you’re committing to cleansing. A habit. A thought process. A lack.

Just one thing.

And now that you have it, do one thing to make sure it happens. Put a note on a night table, set an alarm on your phone, or (I know you’re in your inbox now!) schedule-send an email reminder to yourself — or hit reply and we’ll check in with you. (No need to share personal details!)

And now, turn the vacuum cleaner back on… you can clean that last chometz corner with a lighter heart.

JUST A Q

What’s your best tip for including the kids (of all ages!) in Pesach cleaning?

And — what are your fave cleaning products and tools? We’ll make a master list for you!

Everything is fast-paced. It sometimes seems the earth is shaking beneath our feet. And even everyday life involves uncertainty, disappointment, and tension.

Resilience is the trait that will carry you — and your children — through.

In Sarah Chana Radcliffe’s free 6-part series, she teaches how to create the security children need, give them the tools to weather storms with confidence, and how to let go of fear and tension.

JUST FOR YOU

🫧HACK: Try sunscreen. We had a little incident involving black leather dye and a bunch of little kids. Soap and water, baby wipes, and rubbing alcohol didn’t make a dent in the cleanup, but spray sunscreen cleaned it off walls, tiles, and floors with an easy wipe.

🍷TIPS: A roundup. Here’s a roundup of some of the Pesach tips and hacks we’ve shared in the past:

🌟REC: xxxx. Looking to upgrade your Pesach table or bring along a special hostess gift? Check Waterdale. Their stunning yom tov collection includes so many practical products — and there’s something for everyone.
